1. How to request deletion
Account deletion is handled by our team on request. Send an e-mail from the e-mail address on your QA Hunt account (or include the verified mobile number on the account) to:
We verify every request against the e-mail address or phone number on the account before deleting anything, so that nobody else can delete your account.
In-app deletion is not available yet; we are adding it in a future update.
2. What is deleted
When your account is deleted we remove from our live database:
- your account record (name, e-mail address, mobile number, Google account identifier, password hash, sign-in method);
- your entire profile (skills, employment, education, projects, certifications, resume details, preferences, personal details, languages);
- your applications and cover notes, saved jobs and profile score;
- all sign-in sessions and tokens — the app signs you out everywhere.
3. What may be kept
- Server request logs (time, request path, status, IP address) exist for security and troubleshooting and are rotated; they are not linked to your deleted profile and are not used to rebuild it.
- Database backups exist for disaster recovery only. They are rotated as newer backups replace them and are never used to restore a deleted account.
- Anything an employer already received when you applied to their job is in that employer's hands; contact them directly for its deletion.
4. How long it takes
We reply by e-mail to confirm the request, delete the account once it is verified, and send you a confirmation e-mail when it is done. If we need more information to identify the account we will ask for it in that reply.
5. Deleting only some data
You do not need to delete your account to remove data. In the app you can clear any profile section, withdraw applications from the Apply tab, and un-save jobs. To remove a verified phone number or e-mail address without closing the account, e-mail us as above and say what you want removed.
